My Wine Experiences

With a self proclaimed wine enthusiast as a father, and an up and coming wine lover for a mother, you would think my education within the world of wine would be far more extensive than it truly is. But alas I've always struggled getting past the bitter taste that so many wines have in my opinion. The sweeter the wine is the more likely I am to enjoy it. I also worked in a classier restaurant that required me to recommend wines that oh so perfectly compliment their meal. Let's just say I had a go to co worker who wrote down our most popular dishes and three wines that would work for me to tell them about.

As for my personal tasting of wines, a box of Franiza or my beloved bottle of Barefoot Moscato are my go to drinks that I can always count on. Opting for the Red Barefoot Moscato as opposed to the standard Barefoot Moscato was as wildly adventurous as I've gone with wine and any nicer wines that came with holiday and family meals were nursed at a snailish pace and eventually dumped down the sink when everyone's backs were turned.

What I really hope to learn from this course is to have an appreciation for wine as a beverage and the ways that it can enhance my dining experience. Also being able to actually come up with my own recommendations for wines would be a refreshing change from the notecard stuffed in my pocket during shifts.
